Dear Santa,

I have been very good this year…

Ah hell, you and I both know that isn’t true. Here’s my list anyways*.

Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN®
Anything titled “_____ Made Incredibly Easy”
New watch
Good pair of shoes – I’ll get back to you on the specifics.
Nice Fancy Littmann Stethoscope
A Spygmohoweveryouspellitmeter – You know, the BP dohicky
Davis Drug Guide
Taber’s Medical Dictionary
More Money

*I herby claim my right to add to or adjust this list as necessary. Any and all suggestions will be taken into consideration and added to this list as I see fit.

  1. I hope santa brings you everything on your list and drops a few of the items my way, too!

Would you believe one of my exam questions on the cardiovascular system was to name and correctly spell the device used to measure blood pressure. Stupid sphygmomanometer! I luckily got it right, but I think about half the class missed that question because they weren't expecting it.

  2. a thought on the shoes.. unless your school requires the all white, leather "nurse shoe" I suggest getting a pair of good running shoes. Both my wife, me and everyone else have found that "nursing shoes" are not that great in the long run and a solid pair of running shoes is the way to go.
